September 2019  -  Maya Champ
Introduced by Principal Hobin as the TOP - top in leadership, top in service... Maya is a member of the National & Rhode Island Honor Societies, RI Girls State Senator.  She is a Girl Scout working on her Gold Award - highest award, similar to Boy Scout's Eagle Award.
 
October 2019  -  Abigail Turano
Abi has earned high honors with distinction all four years, member of National & RI Honor Societies, member of Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams - Captain in Senior year.  Her community service includes volunteering at the Columbus Day Parade, Attack the Track, Summer Pops, Chaperone for Elmentary School field trips.  Her Senior Project involved a Unity lunch for students and teachers to promote the "Choose to Include" movement.
 
November 2019  -  Rocco Cillino
National Honor Society member, Academic Letter and Pin recipient, Rocco is November's student of the month.  He also received the National Army Award of Academics and the Mary Lou Serra Scholarship.  Rocco is involved with WHS sports programs - football, indoor/outdoor track, basketball and lacrosse.  In his Junior year Rocco earned the USA Today 1st Team All State and the Michael McGuire Coaches Award.  His community service includes being a freshman mentor, volunteering at the Columbus Day Parade, Big Dog Youth Football Camp and Altar Server at Immaculate Conception Church.  Rocco is interested in sports marketing.
 
December 2019  -  Olivia March
National Honor Society member, Academic Letter, Olivia also plays volleyball and is Volleyball Captain this year.  She was a member of the Basketball Cheerleading team, Softball team, Character Ed, Student Council and Pep Club.  Her community service included being a Freshman mentor, leader, coordinator and blood donor at their recent WHS Blood Drive; assisted at Columbus Day Parade, Time Capsule Burial, Homecoming set up.  Olivia hopes to attend the University of Rhode Island in the field of Nursing.
 
January 2020  -  Aaron Tallardy
National Honor Society member with Academic Pin and Letter, Academic All-State and Boy's State participant, Aaron is a member of Cross Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track teams and Cross Country Captain this year.  His community service includes being a Freshman mentor, school improvement team, Vacation Bible School Camp at his Church, Trail maintenance for Westerly Track and Athletic Club, Beach CleanUp with other WHS students, Summer Pops stage setup and Pops Concession stand cleanup crew.  Aaron plans to attend the University of Rhode Island in the field of Computer Engineering.
