The Spirit of Christmas was all around us Monday evening. Members brought lots of gifts which were going to be delivered to Jonnycake Center by Derin Temel and Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center by Bob Elmer. We welcomed Jean Rayner, Ed Russell, Florence Alvino, Evie Cofone, Jen Brinton, Eileen & Miles Temel, Dave Mann, Donna Celico.
Business of the evening was to vote our Slate of Officers for 2020/2021. Steve Cofone made a motion that the secretary cast the vote for all - no nominations from the floor - all membership in attendance voted "Yea".
Thank you notes were received from Reforest the Tropics and WARM Center. Also we received letters from our two Chikumbuso students. Phiri and Peter send everyone wishes for a Happy Christmas, New Year and a thank you for our "kindness".
Cal offered an opportunity for members to join Central Baptist Church on two mission trips coming up in 2020 - Bern, North Carolina and Nicaragua.
A highlight of the evening was to give Olivia Chiaradio her 2019 Scholarship Award. She is a Nursing student at University of New England.
