Tanner Kelly was selected to be our April Student of the Month.  Awards include High Honors with Distinction, National Honor Society, RI Honor Society, French Honor Society.  Tanner has been a member of the WHS Cross Country Outdoor and Indoor track teams.  He has been Skipper and Captain with N. E Science & Sailing.  Tanner's extracurricular activities include the WHS Tutoring Club, WHS Varsity Athletes Above Substance Abuse and Delegate to Leadership Conference, and WHS Freshman Mentor.  He is a US Certified Level 1 Sailing Instructor.  And, if all that isn't enough he has over 225 volunteer hours with the South County Emergency Department, NESS Junior Instructor and Race Coach, and Acolyte Guild trainer/volunteer at Christ Church.  Tanner plans to attend the U. S. Naval Academy and we wish him every success. 
Another WHS Star is Diana Turano - our May Student of the Month.  Her Academic honors include High Honors with Distinction, Academic letter and pin, National Honor Society and Academic All State.  She has been a member of the Soccer, Lacrosse, Dance, Indoor and Outdoor track teams serving as Captain in Senior year on the Soccer and Indoor Track teams.  Diana's community service includes Freshmen Mentor, Columbus Day Parade, Alzheimer's Association Walk, Volunteer Youth Soccer Coach, Covid Testing Athlete's Check-In, RIIL Crossroads Food Drive Collection.  Diana will be attending the Nursing program at URI in the Fall.  We wish Diana every success.
