Jill Albright, President Kathryn and Steve Albright

District Governor Steve and Jill are current Chairs of our district's youth exchange program.  Sponsored by Rotary Clubs in more than 100 countries, this program is for 15 to 19 year old students who wish to learn a new language and discover another culture.  The main goal of Rotary Youth Exchange is to build peace one young person at a time.  The benefits to students are "developing lifelong leadership skills, learning a new language and culture, building lasting friendships with young people from around the world, and becoming a global citizen."  There are two programs - long-term exchange for a full academic year attending school and living with 2-3 host families and short-term exchange for a period of a few days to three months.  For each American student going abroad, a foreign student comes to the US.  Students are usually responsible for their round-trip airfare, travel insurance, travel documents and spending money. This is a multi-district program of Eastern States Student Exchange (ESSEX).  Contact Steve or Jill at salbri91@aol.com  for more information.
