Reforest the Tropics Director Greg Powell arranged, via zoom, with RTT Chief Forester Victor Martinez in Costa Rica to speak to Ms. Steverman's Spanish classes this week and we looked forward to the opportunity to participate. Greg explained the mission of RTT and the forests and then Ms. Steverman's students asked questions, in Spanish, directed to Mr. Martinez. He explained that the forest includes a variety of trees such as Klinkii and Pine. Rose brought in her Klinkii tree which was purchased, as a little sapling, from Dr Barres when he visited the Club to introduce the RTT program to us in 2012. Ms. Steverman asked us to talk a bit about Rotary.
