Regina Bartlett - author, motivational speaker, Membership Director at Arcadia YMCA Branch, Licensed POUND Trainer,  and Wellness Influencer.  Wow!!!!!   It was a pleasure to listen to Regina this past Monday evening.  Her message was of self-value and faith.  She spoke about how she had equated food with comfort until she weighed more than 400 lbs.  Regina was a featured speaker at the March 2018 TEDxNewport.  Her new book (Food, Sweat & Fears) tells about her thirty years of failed diets and quick fixes that was changed by RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery and the accompanying nutrition meetings.  The surgery program took about a year, including orientation, testing, meetings.  She lost 250 lbs and accomplished her goal to run and finish the NYC Marathon.  Currently, Regina teaches a fitness class at the Y  along with her other work there.   "Food, Sweat & Fears" is available at Savoy Bookshop & Cafe.  She has also written a mini-cookbook, "Healthy Fare: Bariatric Friendly Recipes".
