Because of the weather, we moved our MDM picnic from Rotary Park indoors to The Frank Olean Center. Many sides and desserts were contributed by our members to accompany hot dogs and hamburgers. It was great to see Joe Nigrelli who was accompanied by his daughter, Kathy. We learned that Frank Celico had been ill but he attended with the lovely Donna. And, Bob Boughner brought the very special Marty. A downer moment occurred earlier when Joe Potter's leg came in contact with the grill and he ended up visiting the WHS Emergency Room instead of grilling. We were fortunate to have Anthony Russo visiting so he stepped in. Spoke with Joe Tuesday morning and he said he was doing fine - praised the staff at WHS and EMTs.
Million Dollar Meal at Rotary Park has traditionally contributed its funds to Rotary International's Polio Plus Program and the funds collected Monday evening and subsequent days total $792. We thank everyone for supporting this event with food and funds!!!
