We had no speaker Monday evening but there was lots of lively discussion.  Prospective member Frank Livingston invited his sister, Georgi Kopperman, to join us for dinner as she expressed interest.  As it turns out, Georgi is a friend of President Kathryn.

Doug provided an update on Chowder Lunch with a reminder to SELL YOUR TICKETS and turn the proceeds in to Rose.

Rona urged everyone to invite a guest to the March 9th meeting to hear Martha Crippen from Rhode Island's Office of the Attorney General.  She will be speaking about scams.

President Kathryn has been in contact with the Chariho and Wakefield Clubs regarding a collaboration with Habitat projects.  A current one involves doing roofing work - if anyone is interested in helping, please contact President Kathryn.

Steve and Ted discussed the 21st Charitable/Scholarship Dinner.  One special item in process is a "Holiday on Block Island" - round trip airfare, hotel stay, dinner package.  More to come!!!  A reminder - reserve your seat as soon as possible.  Since our fabulous dinner by Andrew Nathan is usually underwritten by a generous donor, we have little to no expense.  Our proceeds will be split between our Charitable giving and Scholarship funds.

Community News  -  A group of students (7th to 12th graders) who are members of Shoreline Robotics Inc - a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in Pawcatuck/Westerly area - have won the R. I. First Tech Challenge competition qualifying them for the Worlds Competition in Detroit, Michigan, April 28 - May 2.  They are having a Pasta Dinner at the Westerly Senior Center on March 28 to raise funds to reduce their travel costs.  Let's attend the dinner to help them on their way.
