Makenzie is a Senior who has had a full and very busy high school career. She is a Student Mentor and Dunn's Corners Elementary School, Vice President of the WHS Student Council, Chair of Westerly Public Schools' School Improvement Team, Social Media Manager of WHS Character Education, President of WHS Civic Engagement Club, Captain of WHS Varsity Swim Team, President of National Honor Society and Rhode Island Honor Society, Liaison or WHS International Club and World Language Honor Society, President of Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse. Her volunteer experience includes WHS Marching Band, WHS freshman mentoring, Dunn's Corners Elementary mentoring, RI Voter Registration Drive. Makenzie hopes to attend Wake Forest University.
Principal Moulin with October Student Aaliyah Terras and President Alan
Aaliyah is also a Senior and a member of the National Honor Society and National French Honor Society. She participated in the Southern New England Honor Band on bass clarinet in Spring 2023 and 2024. A member of the SMILE Club (URI backed STEM Club), Aaliyah participates in weekly engineering challenges and science based field trips. Aaliyah plays 3 instruments with the Concert Band, Marching Band and Jazz Band and also sings with WHS's Chorus. Her volunteering includes mentoring an elementary school student weekly and incoming freshmen and parents, running concession stand at school theater shows, assisting at community bazaar.
