We had a very special meeting Monday, March 9th, from Wood River Health's associates - Alex Johnson, Christine King and Sarah Channing. Sarah serves as Director of Development and Communications overseeing advertising, branding, events, fundraising, grantwriting etc. She is also Past President of the Warwick Rotary Club. Christine King serves as Senior Director of Integrated Care on the Behavioral Health Team. Alex Johnson serves on the Behavioral Health Team as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
The mission of WRH is "to provide the members of our community with high-quality and affordable health care services through a compassionate, team-based approach. Our vision is for every member of the Wood River Health community to experience physical, emotional and social well-being." As Christine and Alex made very clear, the Behavioral Health Team play a very big role to making sure that their patients' mental well-being gets as much attention as their physical needs. And, WRH "is recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Our community health center has been recognized as a model for excellence in health care delivery and a leader in the promotion of community well-being." WRH is a full service medical, dental and behavioral health care facility with locations in Hope Valley and Westerly.
